The
Tourism Council of Bhutan regulates all tourism related activities
in Bhutan. The existing Bhutanese travel agencies & Bhutanese
tour operators are registered with them, and they also fix the daily
Bhutan tour prices and Bhutan Tourist Taxes or Bhutan Government
Royalty.
Daily Tour Rate
for the remaining months of 2011 is as follows:
- For group of 3 persons or above
US $ 200 per night per person
- For 2 persons in a group: US
$ 230 per night per person (daily tariff US $ 200 +surcharge
US $ 30)
- For 1 person: US $ 240 per night
per person (daily tariff US $ 200 +surcharge US $ 40)
The above tour cost is
inclusive of the following:
- Bhutan Government Royalty
- Twin sharing hotel Rooms at
3 star hotels
- All Meals at 3 star hotels
- English speaking Bhutan tour
guides
- Refreshments (tea,coffee and
snacks)
- All transfers and sightseeing/treks/tours
specified in the Bhutan tour itinerary
- Riding ponies and pack animals
on treks
- All entrance fees
- BST (Bhutan Sales Tax)
- Mineral water
The rates given above
are applicable per tourist per night halt in Bhutan. On the day
of departure, the local
Bhutan tour operators / Bhutan
travel agents' obligation shall be limited to breakfast only.
The following is not
included in the daily tariff:
- Visa fee US $20 each (must be
paid in advance with tour cost).
- Airfares
- Travel insurance
- Single Room supplements US $
25 per room per night during low season and US $ 50 per room
per night during peak season.
- Other personal expenses, calls
overseas, laundary,excess baggage charges, etc.

The
daily tourist tariff has recently been revised by the Tourism Council
of Bhutan,Royal Government of Bhutan as below:
Bhutan
Tour Price during Peak Season-Mar,April,May,Sept,Oct & Nov:
- US $ 250 per night per person
for a group comprising of 3 or more tourists.
- US $ 280 per night per person
(daily tour cost US $ 250 +surcharge US $ 30) for a group of 2
perssons
- US $ 290 per night per person
(daily tariff US $ 250 +surcharge US $ 40) for a lone traveller.
Bhutan
Tour Price during regular Season: Jan,FebJun,Jul,Aug & Dec:
- US $ 200 per night per person
for a group comprising of 3 or more tourists.
- US $ 230 per night per person
(daily tour cost US $ 200 +surcharge US $ 30) for a group of 2
perssons
- US $ 240 per night per person
(daily tariff US $ 200 +surcharge US $ 40) for a lone traveller.
